The GVR Metro District Board of Directors Election that was scheduled for May 8, 2012 has been canceled.  There were only four nominations for four available spots on the Board.  Therefore, the following individuals will start a four year term on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 as they have been declared elected by acclamation:

Anthony Noble
Mary Schumer
Roger Rohrer
Elaine Smith

COMMUNITY HELP NEEDED:

Green Valley Ranch takes a lot of pride in being a graffiti free neighborhood.  Volunteers work with District and City staff to remove graffiti as soon as possible after it is identified.  Recently, it appears that one individual has decided to litter the community with his signature graffiti.  Please call the Metro District office at 303-307-3240 if you have any idea who DREY is.  Below are a couple pictures of this graffiti.  Successful identification of this individual/s will help GVR become much more graffiti free than we have been over the past couple months.

The Community Resource Officer let us know, that during the week of January 15 - 21, there were unusual numbers of motor vehicle thefts and residential burglaries in Green Valley Ranch.  In most cases, vehicles were left unlocked and the targeted houses were where it appeared no one was home.  Please follow the safety tips below, to prevent this happening to you!

Safety Tips:

  • Always leave your front and rear porch lights on at night.
  • Lock ALL doors - including vehicles and windows, especially while gone from your home.  In your vehicle - remove ALL valuables from view including power cords!
  • If you come home and find an open door, DO NOT ENTER your house!  Go to a neighbor’s house and call 9 1 1.
  • Do no confront suspicious individuals, but do alert your neighbors of any suspicious activity.  Make notes of what you observe with unusual activities or vehicles in the area. 
  • Call 9 1 1 if you witness anything out of the ordinary!

The Metropolitan District is here to serve you, the tax payers.  The District invites the community to be involved with the Metro District and encourages attendance at our Board of Director's meetings on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm at the Administration building located at 18650 E. 45th Avenue (corner of Argonne and 45th).    Meeting agendas are posted throughout the community 72 hours in advance of all regular and special board meetings.  If you desire, we can also put you on our email distribution list that will send out monthly reminders of when the Board meetings occur.  Just send us an email requesting to be on this list at the above email address. 

The District also has several working committees in which we invite community participation.  If you can't attend our meetings or do not want to be involved working with a committee, please keep an eye on this website for meeting minutes that are posted shortly after being approved by the board, as well as other important information.   Please use our Graffitti hotline to help us identify graffiti throughout the community so we can quickly take care of it.  Now we also have a general information hotline for residents of the entire Green Valley Ranch community to use as a resource for getting your questions answered or helping identify issues throughout the entire Far Northeast part of Denver.

The GVR HOA Community Garage Sale will be on June 8th & 9th. If you are going to participate, send an e-mail to: garagesale@gvrhoa.com. Homes who let us know they are participating will be included on a map that buyers can find on the website or at our office.
